Free up time: Here’s ten things to outsource
Running a business is time consuming right? You are your own boss, therefore you have to research, plan and initiate absolutely everything yourself.
What if there was a way to use your skills and knowledge to establish everything, but delegate the dreaded hard work to someone else? What if there was a way to really save time?
That’s where outsourcing comes in.
Like most businesses, you may be small and don’t have the capacity to take on full time employees. Outsourcing is the next best thing. Outsourcing literally means using an outside source, to do the dirty work, whilst saving a hell of a lot of time.
How could it get any better than that? Ultimately, if you don’t actually ENJOY doing the task you’re working on, then it’s time to hand it over to someone who does. This gives you much more time to focus on more important things; whether that’s other work related subjects, or just general life. Plus, anything you might not excel in as much? Someone else will. Outsourcing is the perfect solution to get your work done for you, with the possibility of it being even better.
A big benefit to outsourcing, is that their job is to help you. This means far more hands on deck. End result? Your goal is achieved so much quicker.
Here’s ten suggestions of things your could outsource to help save time.
1) Admin Work
Who wants to sit there, day in and day out, staring at a computer screen doing the most boring and tedious job there is? Things like audio transcripts, replying to emails, filing paperwork or proofreading documents. Not you. Outsource it! There are loads of freelancers and agencies that would love to help out with your admin work to help save you time and energy. If you are getting overwhelmed with the small stuff, and can’t get the time to sweat it on the big stuff – outsource your admin work!
If you’re like us, and are terrified of numbers (unless of course it’s data for analytics). Pass it over. Outsourcing accountancy / bookkeeping helps you keep on top of EVERYTHING. It also reduces any accountancy blunders, which will seriously save you money in the long run.
I mean, who even likes numbers anyway?

Not only can a competent tech support team fix things if they go wrong, they can also prevent things going wrong in the first place – saving you both time and money in the long run.
7) Graphic design
Good graphic design is what catches the eye. Colours, details, creativity and flare.
Unless this is your area of expertise, or something you really enjoy, then it makes much more sense to just outsource from the get go.

8) Marketing (ppc/seo/advertising)
Marketing in general is very complex. It’s a very time consuming job, as it’s constantly on going and has to be continuously monitored. Unless this is something you would like to experiment with – you’d get much better value for money and potentially save HEAPS of time by having marketing experts take your product / service and work their marketing magic.
9) Social media
Similar to marketing, social media is hectic. It’s the biggest platform in which people can connect and keep updated on the latest businesses, trends and influencers.
Running some form of social media is one of the most important things you need to do, in order to run a successful business in this day and age.
Just taking just a few minutes to post or share without following a solid strategy won’t pay off. With an ever-changing, increasingly targeted set of algorithms to deal with, the time crafting posts, engaging followers, and targeting ad campaigns continues to grow and grow.
That’s why having someone on board to specifically help you with this, is a great way to save so much time.
Although to start with, selling physical products may be as simple as licking a stamp and popping it through the letter box – as your business grows and evolves you will most likely find your business outgrows the ‘licky stamp DIY’ method of distribution.
A perfect way to save time, money and energy is to outsource your distribution. A great way to do this is by bringing in a third party (like Amazon) who can take care of all the logistics and admin associated with getting your product to consumers.
This way, you’ll have much more free time to focus on other areas of your business, like driving more sales or making more products. Plus you won’t have to deal with any common unwanted hassle, such as missing items and returns.
So where would I find people to take on my tasks?
Good question! If you’re lucky, you may be able to find a friend or family member that excels in any of these topics or more, who would be happy to help you out! If not, then there are many sites you can turn to, such as – fiverr, people per hour, upwork, gumtree, or even a quick add of Facebook would attract some attention.
Well there you have it – the moral of the story. If you don’t have the time or energy – pass it on, use someone else and save yourself TIME. Who knew how simple it could be?
